A voting we will go

Nothing says small town like voting in a church.

Haven’t gone yet, but soon; before work.

I voted in a church in Ithaca last time. This time it was back to an elementary school, though. That’s what I get for moving around so much, I guess. Although mostly what I got was having to sign an affidavit and do a special ballot because the board of elections thought I live in Groton, for some reason even though my voter registration card says I live at my actual address. Wacky.

Yeah, just from reading the web, it seems like there is an awful lot of the ‘wacky’ going around on election day. 😦

It does seem like Tompkins County was a bit off in terms of keeping track of people. I heard of at least two people (counting Dan) who didn’t show up on the records properly. I did, though.

I voted in Cornell’s Reis Tennis Center. I didn’t know that voting in churches was all that uncommon. Previously, I’d been known to vote in fire stations, churches, and old folks’ homes.

Yeah, I’m sure that voting in a church happens fairly often. I was just feeling like a smart-ass that day. 🙂

You know what would be great? Voting in a House of Pancakes.
