Wixercon II

Over the weekend we went to Wixercon II.

Wixercon is a very small, by-invitation gaming convention in the northern wilds of Wisconsin. Britt and I were kindly invited by David Miessler-Kubanek, my Intro to Amber collaborator.

The convention ran Friday, Saturday, and Sunday but Britt and I drove up on Saturday morning and returned Sunday afternoon. Overall, I think there were around 10 to 12 of us there for the weekend. I didn’t get an exact count. Our hostess’ house was full, but not packed, and the attendance seemed quite comfortably snug.

In total, we ended up playing in three different games, all of them coincidentally run by David (some with the addition of his wife Robyn as a co-GM), and they were uniformly a great time. It wasn’t just us, either, everyone seemed to be having a great time and I really enjoyed hanging out with everyone there. They really were a great group of people.

Maybe I’ll talk about Wixercon more later but right now I’m suffering from Con Fatigue. At the moment, I’m just hoping that we’ll be asked to return for future Wixercons.
