New Year's Day

On this last Saturday, the majority of our Friday night gaming group got together to celebrate the new year with pizza and games.

I made homemade pizza for the group. It was pretty good, if I do say so myself. Nine pizzas take about two hours to make, as it turns out, even though it only takes about six minutes to bake them.

Afterward, we played the first game using my new copy of Android. It took a little while for the initial setup but once we got going the intimidation of all the damn fiddly bits wore off. There was a bit of a learning curve but, really, each turn isn’t all that complicated. The first half of the game, which is all we played that day, took us about three hours but I think most of that was just getting used to the flow of play. In the future, provided we play sooner rather than later, I think it will go faster and more smoothly.
