Fighting against inertia is hard.

Back at the beginning of the year, I decided that I need to spend more time writing. I set myself a goal for the year and, looking over my currently daily routine, decided the most likely change would be to take some time each evening to write. That hasn’t been happening.

Normally, Britt and I spend time on the couch watching DVDs from the library and surfing the internet in the evening. It’s our typical way to decompress from the day and we’ve been doing it for as long as I can remember. At least fourteen years. That is quite the spot worn in our schedules.

I guess it just means that I’m not really motivated enough. Not yet anyway.
