Last night we watched Inception. As mind f**k movies go, it was pretty good.

It was our first time seeing it, despite saying that we should see it for several months now. In retrospect, I’m a little disappointed that we didn’t see it in the theater.

If you’ve seen the movie, then you know that you liked it or you didn’t and you know why. If you haven’t seen the movie, then you should go see it. It is out on DVD, so you’ve got any number of options for viewing. Once you watch it, let me know and we can talk about it.

Saw it in the theaters, twice. I also own the Blu-Ray.

I think Nolan was robbed of a Best Director nod for the Oscar. (How is that for a spoiler-free opening bon mot)?

    That’s a pretty good opening.

I think I might need to watch the movie again a time or two. There was a lot I liked about it but my thoughts are still percolating.

I think I’m going to have to get it from the library again.

I think the careful plotting and timing of the final part of the movie, with things happening on several levels, was positively brilliant.

Devil’s Advocate: One thing that could have worked better was Ariadne’s maze-development of the levels. We were told, not shown, for the most part, how that worked and what it felt like.
